Project: Sky Walkers, Client: Toyota Scion, Overview: In 2006
FriendsWithYou opened Art Basel Miami with a large-scale inflatable procession that is comparable in scale to the Macy’s Day Parade. Commissioned by Toyota Scion, “Skywalkers” featured 18 giant blimps (designed by FriendsWithYou), over 300 volunteers, a high school marching band, and thousands of attendees all working together to celebrate the Earth as the newest member of the universal community. The parade illuminated the skies of Miami’s South Beach and made international headlines around the world including New York Times online, The Art Newspaper, and The Miami Herald. “Skywalkers” represents the magnitude and magic that only FriendsWithYou events can bring to life.
